Finished the second part of the shelves. Boy am I glad I built it in two pieces. It was tough getting the second set on top of the first. It was unwieldy and heavy. Looks like it is going to work out okay. The shelves have a little bow in the middle when I put heavier stuff on them, but I don’t think it would have been worth making them out of ¾ inch plywood rather than the ½ I used.
Started moving some stuff around, but I think this will be a work in progress.
Judy and I watched the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie, they are loosing their luster. Can’t put my finger on it, the first was the best.

June 7, 2020: Got the Shelves Started
It’s going to be a nice day today, so I got the shelve started on my little corner in the garage. I’m building the shelves in two four foot sections. I’ll stack two of them. I’m afraid one eight foot high section will be too heavy for me to get into place.
It only took a couple of hours to get the first section completed. Having the air powered crown stapler to put it together made it way simpler than using screws. Using glue and staples will make it plenty strong especially since it’s going to be screwed to the wall. I should be able to finish it tomorrow.

June 6, 2020: AC Needs Work
The air conditioner just isn’t keeping up. Called the guy that Pat used on his place. He’s a nice guy. Calling him on a Saturday, I wouldn’t have been upset if he couldn’t come until next week. However he made it around noon. The system was way low on Freon. He made it sound like we could limp along for awhile, but since the system is over 25 years old I figured it was time to update it, especially since we will probably be stuck here most of the summer. Really wanted something reliable.
They will be coming out probably Wednesday or Thursday to put in the new system. It looks like a good week since the weather is supposed to be more spring like.

June 5, 2020: Eileen’s 65th
It’s Eileen’s 65th birthday today. I was very sensitive, I asked her how she liked to be officially old. She took it well. Sounds like she had a nice day with the Detroit clan.
It was another hot one today and very humid. Sounds like it will be hot again tomorrow, but the humidity is supposed to loose some of its strength. The week ahead is supposed to be more spring like. Looking forward to that.
Got the grass cut. The weed killer I put down looks like it’s doing the job. Since we will probably be here all summer, maybe I’ll have one of those magazine lawns by the end of summer. 🙂

June 4, 2020: Heat and Humidity
I think we forgot spring. Hot and humid today. I even think Jen and Andrea would agree. 🙂
Judy’s Dad was over for lunch. We had Cracker Barrel, they had turkey and dressing I had pancakes, bacon, sausage and ham. It probably isn’t the best choice for me, but it sure tasted good.
We watched Mrs. Browns Boys. It’s a real fun show. Judy’s Dad really gets a big kick out of it. Nothing is out of bounds with that show. Just good fun.
