Gray day, snow is not melting as quickly as I hoped. Hopefully it will be gone by Monday. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Kind of a busy day at work today. I sat down and sold tickets for this weekends basketball games. THen Kevin came down and said the sign needed to be changed today and he was leaving, wonderful.

While I was selling tickets Tom’s Mom called, I guess I am going to have to deal. My approach will be he does not really seam interested in playing tennis. Left a message for her, hopefully she calls in the morning.

Still no lessons from Seifert. I called him. He says he made a mistake, he did not know the inventory when he charged the credit card. His excuse was a little lame. He emailed me a pdf of the one book I ordered. I emailed him back asking for a specific ship date on the books. I think he s having money trouble.

I printed out some of the songs I knew from the other book. Going from the simple to the more complex is going to be more work than i expected. Timing will be the key. I will go back and work on the early lesson where timing is a priority.

My dulcimer kit is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing what it will really take to put it together and get the finish on it.

Kind of a gray day again. It is warming up. It might have gotten to 40 today. By the weekend it will be in the 50ty’s. If all goes well the snow will be gone. Maybe we can get tennis started on Monday.

Not much going on at work. Finishing up the basketball season. The guys play Meadowdale tonight. They would be very disappointed if they don’t win.

Still haven’t received my lesson. If I don’t receive it by tomorrow, might be time for a phone call.

Did get to work on the dulcimer today. Getting a pretty good feel for it. Wore out a pick today. The bottom cracked off. At first I couldn’t figure out why it was sounding strange.

Worked on the guitar while i watched TV. I am getting pretty comfortable with the blues scale.

Not really looking forward to today. I really liked having Monday’s off.

Snow is still hanging around, no tennis today. I went out and looked at the courts, it will take some nice warm weather to get them ready. Some of the guys went over to Beavercreek and their courts are ready to play. Someone must have shoveled them out.

Worked on the dulcimer for about an hour. I tried using the book that  Chips gave me to see how it translated to the dulcimer. Old Joe Clark was in it so I gave it a whirl. Can’t get it to sound much like the other versions I know.

Still haven’t received my new lessons. Sent them an email. Hope this lights a fire under them. They should not charge your credit card if they don’t ship the same day.

Went with Pat to trim some more of the apple trees at Dan’s. We got through a bunch more, but there are still a bunch more today. No hike today, the trees ran me out of gas. Sore shoulders tomorrow.

Watched the final Indiana Jone movie with Judy. I know the critics panned it, but it is just good fum.  We also watched The Ugly Truth. Kind of raunchy, but a lot of fun.

We went down to the get together honoring Ray at Lynn’s. A nice man that will be missed. Saw some old of Ray. The young pictures make him look like a real rough.

Didn’t do much after we got back. I din’t get any work on the dulcimer, but did do some fingering exercises on the guitar.

Hope I sleep a little better tonight. I tossed and turned a bunch last night.

Looks like we got an inch or two of snow last night. I guess they just don’t want us to start tennis season just yet. The weather report is not as favorable towards higher temperatures next week as previously predicted. I am not sure just when we will be able to get out. I am still hoping for March 8.

Got my hike in today at the Narrows. Pat was right about there being some holes but it was okay. They were starting their syrup making, but they couldn’t have gotten much sap with the weather.

Judy thought it would be a good idea to get Syd a dulcimer, so I bought here one from the same company that I bought mine. The only real difference is it’s made of plywood instead of solid woods. I also got her a case and tuner, so she will be ready if she really wants to play. Judy also seemed interested so I am getting another dulcimer for me. I bought a kit from McSpadden. It’s really complete, all you need to do is pretty much glue it together, sand it and finish it. It should be fun to put together.

Went to Dave and Anna’s for dinner and a movie. Anna made a great pesto spaghetti and this great sausage and cheese covered bread. She topped it off with a great fruit salad. We watched Law Abiding Citizen. Decent movie, but a little violent.
