More of the same. It is clear to see physically we need to be more fit or I guess I could assume we are lazy.

With Brown hurt it was clear the JV’s missed his energy on offense. Gave me a pretty clear picture of how the JV will struggle offensively during the season because Brown will be on varsity. We will just have to figure it out.

Today is the first day of the Fairborn Tournament. Eight matches over two days. It was supposed to only be four over two days, but they had an extra spot open and we took it.

The kids did pretty well, but the same issues that we have faced in the past keep coming up, too much individual play, too little team play, poor spacing.

Goalkeeping will be an issue, only one experienced kid in the program. I guess that helps the varsity, but not seeing any real possibilities at the JV level without hurting the overall field play.

Of the younger kids one small guy, lots of heart, but he will have to play very intelligently. Two definite pylons, they are going to take some real work. The rest just raw in relation to what it will take to play high school soccer.

Judy and I went out to breakfast at Bob Evans then we tried to find some new pillows at Bed Bath and Beyond. All of the down one’s had this kind of funny smell, so we passed and I  will stay with what I have.

Worked a little on my next article for OhioHikes.info. Hopefully I can have it done soon.

Downloaded some more books for the trip.

Watched Secretariat, pretty good movie.

Pretty quiet day.

With all the rain last night it didn’t make sense to try to hike the Narrows today. The Narrows has changed again and the trails are really holding water again. So, I just did the bike path thing for a couple of hours. Knees didn’t feel too bad, but the right hip and thigh are still kind of sore. Took some pictures to do a piece on hiking on days that the trails are too wet.

Kind of lost my energy for the rest of the day. Watched Wimbledon and listened to my last CD book since I now have the way to download books and listen that way. I guess I will have only one more trip to the library to return the CDs.

Today was the day to catch up on everything for the trip and rest the body. Knees giving me a problem. My hip still a little sore. Hopefully the time will help me be ready for the boys.

Found out that Eddie Bauer is not at the mall anymore. The Greene is now the only place in town. Got three new shirts. Hate places that have cheeper prices on line. These will probably be the  last shirts I get from them.

Got a hair cut today. Will be interesting to see if Judy notices. This cut was pretty subtle.

Decided not to fix hail dents on the truck just the window since I will keep it until it drops. They would just raise my rate if I do.
